Kristie Smeltzer is a writer, writing coach, and teacher. She's currently working on several novels and a screenplay in addition to short fiction. 

 

Her fiction has been published by Scribes*MICRO*Fiction, MonkeyBicycle, Atticus Review, pioneertown, 101 Words, The Doctor T.J. Eckleburg Review, Apeiron Review, and others. She also writes a monthly newspaper column, "Tried It in C'ville," and other articles for Charlottesville newspaper C-ville Weekly.

Kristie earned her MFA in creative writing at the University of Central Florida. She resides in Charlottesville, Virginia, and teaches for WriterHouse, and other organizations. She's a proud cat mom of the incomparable Maisy Mae, a beloved furry companion and occasional editor.
